How billing works
Who does the work
FocusedFit’s AI searches, reads every profile against your standard, finds contact details, drafts messages and builds interview plans, including on scheduled runs between your sessions. Grading moves people on its own: strong matches go to your shortlist, and some grading actions also set weak matches aside as not advancing. Each move is recorded with its reason, and a person on your team can move anyone back. Every message FocusedFit drafts waits for someone on your team to read, edit and approve it before it’s sent; messages from a template your team writes go out as written. Interviews, offers and the hire are your team’s.
Turning roles on and off
Your account admins choose which roles are on. Set a role to Searching to turn it on, and to Paused or Filled to turn it off. A new role starts off, so writing its standard and inviting your team are free. Turning a role on, by setting it to Searching, is what starts a role-month; a question to FocusedFit, a draft or a grading run never does. On the monthly plan, up to five roles can be on at once, one for each role-month you pay for, and you choose which roles. Each month is billed on the date your plan started, whether or not a role is on, except the pause months you ask us for. Setting your role to Paused or Filled turns the role off; it doesn’t pause your plan.
Data Credits
Data Credits pay for the data behind your searches: finding profiles and looking up contact details. The monthly plan includes 300 each month, and an annual plan includes 3,000 for the year with each role, usable any time. The roles you have on share your account’s credits, so a hard search can use what an easy one doesn’t need. On the monthly plan, included credits renew with each month and don’t carry over.
When you need more data
When your included Data Credits run out, FocusedFit stops buying data and tells you. Add 100 more Data Credits for $50 whenever you want them. The AI that does the work is included each month; if a search ever needs more than the month’s allowance, you can keep it going and pay as you go. You decide when to add either — nothing extra is ever charged on its own.
Pause
On the monthly plan, between hires, an account admin can ask us at admin@focusedfit.ai to pause your plan for up to 2 months in any 12. Nothing is billed while you’re paused, and your roles, standards, candidates and notes stay as you left them. Pause months are whole months of 30 days. When your pause starts, we tell you in writing the date your monthly charge resumes; it resumes that day whether or not a role is on, unless an account admin has asked us to cancel. Annual plans don’t pause.
Paying and cancelling
Monthly: by card. The introductory price’s 12 months run from your account’s first purchase, and keep running through any pause and any time away if you cancel and come back. To cancel: an account admin uses Manage billing under Credits & billing in FocusedFit or emails admin@focusedfit.ai, or the cardholder uses the Manage subscription link in your subscription receipts; the plan runs to the end of the month already paid for. No refunds for time already billed; after cancelling, nothing more is billed. Annual: by card or invoice, billed once a year. Year one is the introductory price; it renews at $1,990 per role a year from year two, plus applicable tax. Runs for the full year and can’t be cancelled partway through. Renews for another year at $1,990 per role, plus applicable tax, unless renewal is turned off at least 30 days before the plan year ends: by an account admin under Manage billing under Credits & billing in FocusedFit or in writing at admin@focusedfit.ai, or by the cardholder through the Manage subscription link in your subscription receipts. Prices are in US dollars, plus applicable tax.
Your data and your systems
Profiles come from professional-data partners, from public web sources, and from people you add yourself. FocusedFit doesn’t connect to an applicant tracking system today. You can bring contacts in and take them out by CSV.
Questions
What exactly is a role-month?
One role, on for 30 days. A role is on from the day you set it to Searching until you set it to Paused or Filled. While it’s on, FocusedFit works it: sourcing, outreach, interview plans and notes, and chat about the role. On the monthly plan, each role-month you pay for keeps one role on, up to five at once.
Can we search more than one role at once?
Yes, up to five on the monthly plan, each its own role-month. Choose how many at checkout; after that, an account admin changes the number under Manage billing. Add or drop a role any time. The change is charged right away: an added role is charged for the rest of the current month, and a dropped role is credited right away. More than five at once is an annual or custom plan.
What does a Data Credit pay for?

What do we get in the trial?
30 days and 25 Data Credits, given once, on one real role. FocusedFit finds and ranks candidates against your standard. The trial ends at 30 days, or sooner if its Data Credits or AI allowance run out. Contact details unlock when you choose a plan, and nothing is charged until you do.
What can add to our bill?
Three things. Role-months (plus applicable tax): on monthly, $149 a role-month for 12 months from your account’s first purchase, then $199, except any pause months; on annual, $1,490 per role for year one, then $1,990 per role a year from year two. More data: 100 more Data Credits for $50, when you choose to add them. And AI past the month’s allowance, as you go. You decide when to add either — a question to FocusedFit, a draft or a grading run never starts a role-month or a charge.
Who can turn roles on and off, say yes to extras, or ask to pause or cancel?
Your account admins: anyone your team has made an admin on your FocusedFit account. Account admins say yes to extras and ask for pauses; an account admin or the cardholder can cancel, or turn renewal off.
Do we pay for every person who logs in?
No. Add as many teammates as you like, on any plan. Hiring managers and interviewers can also review candidates and leave feedback through Team view without being added as users.
We’re hiring two people for the same role. Is that two role-months?
No. Several openings for the same role are one role.
Is this a service, or software we drive ourselves?
Software. FocusedFit’s AI searches, reads, drafts and builds interview plans, and your team approves every message it drafts. If you’d like senior recruiters on the search with you, FocusedFit Live is a separate service, in early access.
